Strengthening UIC–Argonne Connections: Join Us on March 7, 2025

Dear UIC Colleagues,

We invite you to participate in the UIC Faculty Trip to Argonne on March 7, 2025, from 1 PM to 4 PM. This visit offers a valuable opportunity to learn more about Argonne National Laboratory’s capabilities and resources, and to explore potential research collaborations between UIC and Argonne.

During the trip, you will:

  • Receive an overview of the George Crabtree Institute for Discovery and Sustainability, a joint initiative between UIC and Argonne designed to support interdisciplinary research and innovation.
  • Hear about Argonne’s newly upgraded Advanced Photon Source, the CROCUS Urban Integrated Field Laboratory, and the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility.
  • Tour the Aurora supercomputer, a cutting-edge system for high-performance computing.
  • Engage with Argonne scientists and fellow UIC colleagues over coffee, sparking discussions on potential research partnerships.
